I am a therapist living and working in the 5 valleys. Using and enjoying nature are at the heart of my practice, offering 'walk and talk' sessions where appropriate. I have personally benefited greatly from this approach and want to bring the healing power of nature to clients in my own work. During our sessions we can work to explore what’s happening for you, understand your
process and emotions and move towards a place of understanding so you can live the way that feels true to you.
There are times when the outdoors doesn’t feel right for my clients. Therapy can be highly emotional and challenging and you might feel you need the extra safety of complete privacy. Mobility issues might also prevent outdoors work, or even the good old British weather. Whatever the reason, I also offer counselling in a private therapy room in Stroud town centre, easily accessible by public transport. The choice is always yours. I am an integrative counsellor with a person-centred core, integrating some creative approaches and empty chair work as and when my clients feel they could benefit from additional styles of therapy. I have years of experience in educational settings, working more recently with neurodiversity issues. I use this experience and neurodiversity training in my counselling work to offer sessions, amongst others, to those struggling with neurodiversity personally and to those who care for them. Amongst the other issues I offer counselling for are: Anxiety, Stress, Depression, LGBTQ issues, Addiction, Men’s issues, Relationship issues, Sexual abuse, Low self-esteem.
